Bryan was off yesterday (Tuesday) and we spent it eventfully. We went to the Firefighters Park & we had so much fun. It made me so happy that Bryan could be there with Bentley, since he doesn't get to experience many of these moments because he is always working so hard for our family. After the park, we went to lunch, then headed home to spend the rest of the day relaxing. We finally had cable installed yesterday since we had moved, just in time for the American Idol finale! Kayla came over for a few hours to hang out with us; we had chicken alfredo for dinner. Then my mom and Haylee came over to watch the first half of the American Idol finale :) All in all, it was a wonderful day spent with my favorite people<3
PS - We are looking forward to Bentley's first trip to Disneyland this Friday! :)

Fireman's Park....
The last couple of days it has been really gloomy/rainy outside, so Bentley and I have been cooped up in the house!! UGH, no fun! Well, today when we woke up...it was sunny outside! So I planned a trip to the Fireman's park with my little man!
Around 9:30 am Bentley laid down for his nap. I wanted him rested before we headed out for our big adventure, so he wasn't sleepy/cranky! He woke around 10:30. We got loaded up in the car, made a pitstop at the mail place to send off baby Nixon's gift, and headed to the Fireman's park! When we got there, Bentley had just fallen asleep in the car. But, I woke his little booty up! Hehehe!
He had so much fun playing in the sand and swinging on the swing with mommy! I love this park because it has two separate play areas (older kids and younger kids), and they have these huge blue tarps above them which keeps the toys nice and cool on the hot summer days! Going here will definitely be a weekly thing, as long as weather permits! It will also be our first meeting for our mommy & me group get-together, which is taking place on June 2nd! Looking forward to that!!
Well - time to go frost some cupcakes & get ready for Bentley's aunties to come stay the night! :D
P.S - Is that not the cutest hat you've ever seen? ;)

Daddy's two days off....
Monday and Tuesday were Bryan's two days off this week. I really felt like he hadn't had a day off in forever! We spent the days relaxing, running some errands and just loving on Bentley! Bentley had a doctors appointment on Monday for a well check and some immunizations. He did soooo good! He weighs 15lbs 10oz! The doctor said he was "perfect and SO cute!" ... we already knew this!
I wish Bryan could spend more time with Bubs. Bryan has been working so much lately; usually he leaves before Bentley is up and/or gets home after he is already in bed. I am thankful for the days he has off so that he can spend all of his time with him on those days. I am also thankful that I have such a hard working fiance. I am truly blessed with my family<3
Until next time....

Sweet, sick, baby....
The last few days Bentley has been a little congested. I have been running the humidifier in his room at night and during his naps to help loosen up everything, but it doesn't seem to be helping. He doesn't seem/act sick though. He is happy, smiling, laughing, eating good, normal wet/poopy diapers, etc. He also only seems congested in the morning, when he wakes up, and then it clears up and he is fine the rest of the day. I called his pediatrician this morning to see if I could bring him in (I'm a worry wart - thought it might be RSV, Croup, etc.) and the advice nurse told me to just keep an eye on him, continue running the humidifier, use saline drops and baby Vicks and if it got worse then I could bring him in. This really helped calm my nerves! He is napping right now, and he looks so darn precious! I love his little butt, and I am praying he gets better REAL soon <3
My First Mama's Day....
was perfect! I couldn't have asked for a better day! Bryan and I cleaned the house up in the morning, made some delicious Cinnamon Roll Twists slathered in icing, and spent lots of time with our bubs! My parents and sisters came over and we had pizza and bread sticks for lunch/dinner, yummy! We watched Burlesque, which was a great movie, chit-chatted, and ate some delicious Hershey's Pie! All in all, it was a fabulous first Mother's Day!
Me with Bentley, Boston and Sampson! All my boys!

I love him to the moon & back...
Oh goodness. He's the stinking cutest thing I have ever seen!! <3
He's doing so good at being in his bouncer seat! His feet don't completely touch the floor yet, but he is doing good bouncing himself, holding his head up and playing with his toys on it! :D I love how much he is growing and changing every day, but I do want time to slow down just a little bit! Hehe! Well, I am off to bed, just wanted to pop on for a quick post!

Becoming a mom....
From the time I was little, I knew I was meant to be a mom. I loved playing with dolls as if they were my children, and as I got older, I began "mothering" my younger sisters (I don't think they enjoyed that very much). May 2010 came around and my life was changed forever; for the great!
Bentley Mikael was born on January 29th 2011 at 2:44a.m., he weighed 7lbs 13oz and was 19inches long! He was perfect, to say the least. I loved every minute of my pregnancy - even the all-day sickness for 17 weeks straight, the excruciating back pain from my sciatica - and I even enjoyed labor (thanks to my epi!) Holding Bentley for the first time, hearing his first cries, seeing his beautiful eyes and head full of hair, was worth every bit of pain I went through!
I'm finally a mommy! This was my "dream job" when I was little, and I have accomplished it! Bentley is now a little over 3 months! He is "talking" up a storm, he rolled over for the very first time yesterday (May 3rd), he smiles and laughs! He has experienced his first Easter - which was a blast, and he LOVED his Easter Basket! It's the most amazing thing to experience all of this great milestones and events with my sweet boy; I do not take any moment for granted.
I get to celebrate my very first Mother's Day in a few days, and I am so excited. We are a little tight on money at the moment due to just moving, some car troubles and the HORRIBLE gas prices - but, just to spend the day with Bentley and my family will make it the best Mother's Day ever! We plan to get pizza and hang out at the pool all day - it will be Bentley's first time swimming, which will make it an even better day!
Time to go spend some time with my precious boy, make some dinner for my hubby, and relax for the rest of the night - today was a stressful day! I will update regularly! <3
