Becoming a mom....

From the time I was little, I knew I was meant to be a mom. I loved playing with dolls as if they were my children, and as I got older, I began "mothering" my younger sisters (I don't think they enjoyed that very much). May 2010 came around and my life was changed forever; for the great!

Bentley Mikael was born on January 29th 2011 at 2:44a.m., he weighed 7lbs 13oz and was 19inches long! He was perfect, to say the least. I loved every minute of my pregnancy - even the all-day sickness for 17 weeks straight, the excruciating back pain from my sciatica - and I even enjoyed labor (thanks to my epi!) Holding Bentley for the first time, hearing his first cries, seeing his beautiful eyes and head full of hair, was worth every bit of pain I went through!

I'm finally a mommy! This was my "dream job" when I was little, and I have accomplished it! Bentley is now a little over 3 months! He is "talking" up a storm, he rolled over for the very first time yesterday (May 3rd), he smiles and laughs! He has experienced his first Easter - which was a blast, and he LOVED his Easter Basket! It's the most amazing thing to experience all of this great milestones and events with my sweet boy; I do not take any moment for granted.

I get to celebrate my very first Mother's Day in a few days, and I am so excited. We are a little tight on money at the moment due to just moving, some car troubles and the HORRIBLE gas prices - but, just to spend the day with Bentley and my family will make it the best Mother's Day ever! We plan to get pizza and hang out at the pool all day - it will be Bentley's first time swimming, which will make it an even better day!

Time to go spend some time with my precious boy, make some dinner for my hubby, and relax for the rest of the night - today was a stressful day! I will update regularly! <3

  1. I was lucky enough to be there when the little guy came into the world and it was amazing. To see your baby have a baby is just incredible. I knew you would be an awesome Mommy and you are that and more. I'm proud of both you and Bryan for being such good parents. I love you all and of course can't wait to see Motto Motto in his swimming trunks....so cute!!! Happy 1st Mothers Day girl...many more to come!!!
